Accounts and Payments
Subaccounts
Keep funds for different tasks in separate accounts with their own access and controls.
On This Page
Your first account is Checking. Additional accounts can organize funds for different purposes, such as research or recurring tasks.
What Belongs to an Account
Each account has its own wallet, balances, spending rules, and connection permissions. Each account has its own available funds and transfer limit.
Learn how agents and accounts work.
Choose Which Accounts Your Agent App Can Use
When your agent app signs in, select the accounts the connection can use. Complete the signature request for each account using the wallet or passkey you signed in with.
Ask your app to call get_accounts to check which accounts it can access. Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets the app use Agent Connect tools.
Use the exact returned account name in later requests. Do not assume that the first account in the list is the intended source of funds.
Keep Controls Separate
Review each account’s transfer limit, timelock, and Account Whitelist before a payment. After changing a rule, confirm that it is active.
